The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday told the Supreme Court that Shahrukh Jatoi, prime accused in Shahzeb murder case, fled from the country on a bogus passport that was without photograph.
The Supreme Court’s three-member bench resumed the hearing of Shahzeb murder case on Monday. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry chaired the bench.
FIA Legal Director Azam Khan said the accused travelled to UAE on December 27, 2012 on a photo-less bogus passport, which was actually issued to another citizen named Muhammad Ali Khan resident of Swabi, while tickets were issued through Fazal-e-Rabi Travelling Agency. He said Shahrukh’s brother Nawab Ali Jatoi and cousin Khurram also travelled with him.
The FIA director said a total 139 passengers were travelling in the flight, but the data of five people was not on record. He said the officers who helped Shahrukh travel on bogus documents had been identified and cases were registered against them.
The court also sought the CD of the recording of exclusive interview of the father of accused, Sikandar Jatoi. The court said in its remarks that Sikandar’s statement was akin to influencing the investigations.
It said Sikandar’s statement that Shahrukh left for Australia tried to mislead the authorities. The CJP asked FIA official if there were so many lacunas at airports that a wrongdoer could flee the country.
“Was the culprit so powerful that he hoodwinked the officials at three checking spots at airport? In such activities big shots are involved but always low-paid staff are tangled in such cases”? he asked
Police said Shahrukh was not injured and police doctor Muhammad Ali Barohi had also confirmed it. The court also directed FIA to present challan of the case in the court at the earliest with a list of eye witnesses.
The chief justice also directed the concerned authorities to initiate action against Sikandar Jatoi.
The bench directed Sindh police to conduct a fair and transparent investigation in the murder case and adjourned proceedings until February 13.

  1. These thugs and scoundrels rule Pakistan. We have a new generation which include Bilawal, Hamza S S, Monis; chips of the same block, sons of blood suckers.

  2. The UAE authorities would only have allowed a photoless passport holder into the UAE if someone in Islamabad had asked them too..

    That is my opinion.

If someone in Islamabad asked for the favour,it implies that someone subverted the course of justice. Hardly the work of a simple 'porter' as claimed.

  3. Unending baqwas from FIA and unfathomable capacity of SC to entertain bullsh!t….SC is becoming a party to every crime through this…..
