The Supreme Court on Monday issued fresh notices to former Pakistan envoy to US, Husain Haqqani and others involved in the high-profile memogate case.
The case will be heard by a 9-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on January 28.
The court has directed the federal government to submit a report regarding the security of former ambassador Husain Haqqani to the registrar, two weeks prior to the hearing of the case.
During the last proceedings of the case, the Supreme Court had directed Asma Jehangir the counsel for Haqqani to file a request with the Interior Secretary for obtaining security for her client.
It may be mentioned here that the commission established to investigate the case had reported that action should be taken against the former ambassador as he was involved in the case.

  1. Its high time for Asma Gillani to give a strong "shutt-up" call to the so called cheap of the land. I am sure that the brave leady can do so.
