Eight more fall prey to targeted killings

At least eight persons were gunned down in separate incidents of firing in different areas of Karachi on Saturday.
As per media reports, miscreants opened indiscriminate fire in Bohari Bazar Area and killed the office-bearer of ANP, Ramzan Kakar. The infuriated people took to the streets and forced shopkeepers to close down markets. The angry mob also set two motorbikes on fire.
Later on, the dead body of Ramzan Kakar and the wounded attacker was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Police claimed the assailant was identified as Abdur Rehman, resident of Mangopeer. Emergency of Jinnah Hospital was closed temporarily due to the protest.
Meanwhile, Rangers arrested proclaimed offender Sadam Kakar and recovered two SMG riffles from his car while the injured CID official Noor-ul-Amin succumbed to injuries.
In another incident, Faizan was shot dead in Samnabad while the office-bearer of Gulshan Bahar Market, Razak, was also killed in target killing while the dead body of Nabeel was recovered from a garden.
The CID police made arrest of three alleged terrorists – Sital Khan, Mubashar and Risalat Khan – belonging to a banned outfit, Sher Khan Mehsud Group, from Mangopeer and recovered three hand grenades, pistols and two riffles. They were also involved in taking extortion from traders. Police registered the case and started thorough investigation.
