CNG closure troubles citizens

Commuters and motorists had to face severe hardships due to closure of CNG stations across Sindh on Saturday. Under the gas load-management plan, Sui Southern Gas Company Pipelines Limited (SSGPL) suspended the gas supply for CNG stations of Sindh for 24 hours starting from 8:00am Saturday.
Due to closure of CNG stations, public transport on various routes remained absent and miseries of the commuters multiplied. The motorists also faced hardships due to non-availability of gas and high prices of patrol.
A large number of people including women, children, labourers and students were seen at bus stops of various districts of Sindh to take them to their desired destinations. Talking to INP news agency, citizens of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Nawabshah, Tando Adam and other districts criticised the government for failing to improve the situation regarding gas crisis. They were of the view that due to poor performance of provincial and federal governments, the CNG crisis had increased further and thus increased the miseries of masses who were already in the grip of multifaceted crises including law and order, price-hike and prolonged electricity load shedding which had adversely hurt the domestic consumers besides halting the industrial production and commercial activities.
