ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Thursday said that an All Parties Committee should be constituted to formulate a unanimous national agenda for bringing economic stability in the country.
He floated the proposal in his meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Business Forum which called on him at his residence. Shujaat said that people from all strata of life should play their role to bring economic stability in the country. He also stressed upon the need of political harmony to enhance economic prosperity.
“Economic stability is a must to ensure the provision of relief to the poor masses,” he said, adding that the common people were adversely affected by the economy’s downturn. “All political, social and business forces should work on one point agenda,” Shujaat maintained. He said that the need of the hour was to work for the progress of the country instead of indulging in dirty politics based on vested interests.
He informed the delegation about his previous meeting with the business community in Karachi in which they exchanged their views to resolve the economic crisis.
