Shutter-down strike observed in Sindh

A shutter-down and wheel-jam strike was observed across the province on call by Sindh Bachayo Committee (SBC) against the Local Governments Act (SPLGA) 2012.
Per details, complete strike was observed in Hyderabad with all commercial centers remained close.
Also, the school-going students and office-bound commuters had to face troubles owing to the strike by Sindh Bus Owners Association.
Meantime, firing incidents were also reported from different areas of the city including Bhitai Nagar, Site Area, Naseem Nagar, Naya Pul, Qasimabad and Kotri, forcing the closure of shops and restaurants which were opened in the morning.
Sanghar also observed the strike with schools and colleges closed, commercial activities remained halt.
Complete strike was also observed in district Benazirabad’s cities including Nawabshah, Daulatpur, Qazi Ahmed, Daur, Sakrand and Shahpur Jahania. Police arrested six activists of the nationalist parties.
Tehsil Mirpur Khas’ areas including Degree, Jhudo Tando Jan Muhammed, Naukot and Kot Ghulam Muhammed also observed strike.
The nationalist parties observed shutter-down strike in various cities including Shikarpur, Naushehro Feroz, Kandyaro, Moro, Bhirya, Mehrabpur, Ghotki, Dadu, Juhi, Mehar Kharpur and Natanshah and district Kashmore.
