Ambassador of Greece called on Interior Minister Rehman Malik here on Thursday and discussed narcotics and human smuggling from Pakistan to his country and arrest of those involved in the illegal trade.
The interior Minister said that Pakistan was making every effort to check human smuggling. He said for this purpose all resources are being utilized.
Rehman Malik during the meeting invited his Greece counterpart to visit Pakistan during which all issues of bilateral concern including human smuggling and the difficulties being faced by Pakistani community in Greece would be discussed.
The Minister appreciated the efforts of the Ambassador for further cementing ties between the two countries.
The Greece Ambassador expressed concern for human smuggling and asked the Minister to arrest people behind the crime. He also appreciated Pakistan’s role in war on terror.
He said Pakistan and Greece were working together to check human smuggling and this cooperation would be further enhanced in the future.
