The New Wehdat Colony Girls Middle School organised a function to celebrate Iqbal Day and highlight the messages, thoughts and ideology of Allama Iqbal here on Thursday.
Zakia Shah Headmistress of the school presided over the ceremony. She said that Iqbal infused revolutionary spirit in the nation through his poetry. His poetry has been translated in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, English and several other languages. Student of different age groups presented skits and tableaus. The 135th birth anniversary of poet philosopher Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal is being observed on Friday.
