Four more fall prey to target killing


At least four people were shot dead in firing incidents overnight in different parts of Karachi, officials said on Thursday.
According to police, some unidentified persons shot dead two persons and injured another in Aram Bagh and Orangi localities of Karachi. In another incident, some unidentified miscreants opened fire in Liaquatabad area and killed one man. The identity of the dead is not yet known.
Meanwhile, Rangers cordoned off entry and exits point of Cheel Chowk and Dhobi Ghat areas of Lyari and launched a targeted operation against criminals. Rangers arrested 17 suspects during operation in Usmanabad, Dhobi Ghat, Cheel Chowk, Chakiwara, Kalakot, Mahmoodabad and Ramswami areas. Large quantity of arms was also recovered from the arrested persons. Rangers have shifted the arrested persons to some undisclosed place. According to the sources, the arrested persons are being interrogated. According to Rangers, these operations were launched on the information provided by intelligence agencies. Armored vehicles also took part in these operations.
Hand grenades: Lyari Expressway was closed down for traffic after the police recovered two hand grenades from there, media reported on Thursday. According to police sources, the city’s Motorway Police, after seizing two hand grenades from Lyari Expressway, blocked the thoroughfare for traffic for fear of more explosive devices that could have been planted somewhere. The two bombs are still on the track untouched; bomb disposal squad was called which later neutralized them, the police said.
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY LEAVES TRADER DEAD: Robbers on Thursday shot a shopkeeper dead over his resistance during a robbery bid in Karachi’s Bolton Market area, officials said. A policeman was also injured in firing by the robbers. Police said two armed robbers entered Memon Mosque bazaar in Bolton Market area to loot a shop, and opened fire on a shopkeeper over his resistance, killing forty-year-old Shams on the spot. They said shopkeepers informed a police patrolling party about the robbery attempt, which arrived at the scene and an encounter took place, leaving a policeman, Aslam, injured. The daylight looting sowed fury in the traders who condemned poor law and order situation in the city, calling for enhanced security measures in main markets.

Frankly, I will believe Pakistan Today rather than senile dementic chief minister of the province who does not seem to care about the law and orfer situation. He can not do any thing as he has to follow his President and pursue his policy of reconcilation
