A 45-member delegation led by Indian Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived on Monday via Wagah border. Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal received the delegation and presented a bouquet to the Indian deputy chief minister.
Talking to the media, Rana Iqbal said friendly ties between Pakistan and India were growing rapidly.
He said both countries were making efforts to learn from each others experiences in various fields of life.
The arrival of the Indian delegation shows that both countries are ready and making efforts for a better future, he added.
The Sukhbir Singh Badar said that the arrival of the Indian delegation was in fact reunion of two real brothers. He said cooperation with Pakistan in industry, sports and other fields would strengthen friendly ties between two countries.
