Azim Iqbal Siddiqui, the managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), has tendered his resignation from the office on what an offical statement said personal grounds. Siddiqui is going to be replaced, as has been decided by the company’s Board of Directors, by DMD (Corporate Services) Zuhair Siddiqui from November 8. Zuhair has been serving the company for the last 10 years at various senior management positions. Siddiqui’s resignation was placed before the company’s Board of Directors in an emergent meeting of the Board held under the chairmanship of Salim Abbas Jilani on Saturday November 3 at the SSGC’s head office. After detailed deliberations, the Board accepted Siddiqui’s resignation that would take effect from Nov 8. The Board of Directors paid glowing tributes for the selfless services rendered by Siddiqui for the company during his marathon association that spanned over 35 illustrious years. The Board unanimously resolved that Siddiqui had a highly commendable career that was laced with colossal display of commitment, proven leadership abilities, sheer adherence to transparency and above all with an exemplary sense of belonging to the company.
