Junior doctors of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) ransacked the hospital on Saturday after a scuffle broke out between junior and senior doctors. According to details, junior doctors of the PIMS hospital were carrying out a strike for the last two days in favour of their demands. The misbehaviour of senior doctors further aggravated the situation after which activities were adversely affected in the out-patient department (OPD).
Previously, the protesting junior doctors exchanged harsh words with senior doctors which resulted in the scuffle. Afterwards, the junior doctors gathered in the administration office of the hospital and ransacked the entire area.
Later, the PIMS administration held a dialogue with the junior doctors and assured them that their concerns would be addressed soon.
