50 suspects arrested in search operation

Shehzad town police conducted search operations in different areas of the city and nabbed a total of 50 suspects, a police spokesman said on Saturday. The search operation was conducted by the Shehzad Town Police Station in different areas including Sawan, Khana and Pindorian. Under-construction buildings, houses and hotels were also checked and a total of 50 suspects were arrested for being unable to produce any documents of identification to the officers concerned.
Following the directions of Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan, a team of the mentioned police station, headed by sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) and Station House Officer (SHO) conducted search operations in these areas. A police team also arrested two persons Khalid and Kamran for having two 30 bore pistols while a drug pusher Kamran was arrested after 1,030 grams of hashish was recovered from his possession.
Islamabad IGP and Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Yaseen Farooq had directed the officials concerned to expand the search operation to other areas of the city and urged them to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of starting search operations in various areas was to ensure foolproof security in the federal capital, the IGP added.
