SNP mourns SLGA 2012; 70 arrested

Sindh Nationalist Party (SNP) observed Monday as a mourning day to register its protest against Sindh Local Government Act (SLGA) 2012.
Partial shutter down strikes were observed across Sindh on the call of SNP. Business centers, markets and shops remained closed in a few districts of the province. Tando Muhammad Khan also witnessed barren roads devoid of traffic by the protestors apart from the shutter down. MA, MBA and BSc examinations scheduled at Matiari for Monday were postponed due to the strike.
Sindh Tehreek chief Safdar Sarki was put under house arrest and 70 workers of his party were arrested on charges of disrupting the civil order.
