Prayers held in Makkah for Malala

Special prayers were held across the country and abroad for the recovery of 14-year-old Malala Yousufzai who is gradually improving after being shot by Taliban militants.
Media reports said that prayers for the Pakistani children rights activists were held in the Masjid Al-Haraam, Makkah, and Masjid-e-Nabvi at Madina Munawara.
In Pakistan, Christians held special mass at Catholic Churches in Faisalabad, Peshawar, Islamabad and other cities on Sunday and hailed Malala’s struggle for the promotion of education. The Christian community paid rich tribute to the schoolgirl and expressed solidarity with her family.
In Karachi, doctors and other medical staff at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) prayed for Malala’s speedy recovery.
