14 more fall prey to violence

At least 14 people were killed in incidents of violence in different parts of Karachi. According to media reports, a man named Sajjad, who was wounded in firing incident in Gulshan Hadeed, succumbed to his injuries at the Jinnah Hospital while Aman Ullah who got injured during firing at a hotel in Gulistan Jauhar died in Hospital.
In another incident of target killing, Naeem was gunned down in Hill Park area. Police have arrested the accused from the sight of the incident.
Some unidentified persons, riding on motorcycles, opened fire in Napier area and shot dead a man while five other people were wounded.
In Kharadar area, Abdus Samad and Roshan Ali Mustafa were killed after abduction while dead body of 30-year-old Walid Baloch was found from Hawksbay Road.
Some unidentified miscreants abducted a youth named Raza and threw his dead body near Pankha Hotel in Sher Shah while gunmen riding on motocycles shot dead a man near Sakhi Hassan Chorangi.
In Azeempura area of Alfalah, 40-year-old Ghulam Akbar was gunned down by miscreants while an activist of Pakistan People’s Party, Salim Lassi was shot dead in Taimuria.
An activist of ANP, Shah Kalam was wounded in an attack in Sachal area while a passersby, Rafiq was killed. Kashif was shot dead in firing incident in Kala Kot area.
Meanwhile, police have conducted a raid at Hub River Road and arrested two people. According to police the accused were wanted in several cases of murders in the city.
ASI gunned down in city violence
An assistant sub-inspector was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire in Maghopir area of Karachi Thursday, media reports said on Thursday. According to police, unidentified attackers opened fire on a man riding a motorcycle who died on the spot. Later, the victim was identified as Shahjahan Yousuf, 45.
He was posted as an ASI in Maghopir police station. Witnesses told that the attackers were on foot and fled conveniently after shooting down the policeman.

  1. There will be no end to the killings unless the government reappraises its 'reconciliation' policy which has proved to be disastrous. For how long the vested interests and compliant media continue to provide respectability to a man who is masterminding his activities from London.
