SHC orders removal of acting PUMHS Hospital MS

HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court on Thursday ordered the removal of the acting Medical Superintendent of People’s University of Medical and Health Sciences (PUMHS) Hospital, Nawabshah.

The bench comprising justice Salahuddin Panhwar and justice Arshad Hussain Khan also ordered the provincial government to appoint a new MS within a week to replace Dr. Ali Mardan Umrani.

According to the details, the petitioner Bashir Ahmed’s counsel advocate Qazi Ashfaq Nabi pleaded in the court that Umrani was illegally using his authority in the hospital’s affairs.

The Additional Advocate General Allah Bachayo Soomro requested the court to give a month’s time for the appointment. However, the court while giving a week for the appointment of the new MS has adjourned the hearing till January 11.
