Pakistan visit ‘fruitful’: Krishna

Indian External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna said on Sunday that his Pakistan visit was a fruitful one for better and stronger relations between Pakistan and India.
While talking to media representatives, the Indian External Affairs Minister said that his visit was one of the links to make Pak-India relations peaceful and friendly.
Krishna has said that Indian people and leadership of India including Indian prime minister have the earnest desire to see a prosperous‚ stable and strong Pakistan as a neighbor.
Krishna was warmly welcomed by Provincial Minister Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor and other government officials at Lahore Airport.
Talking to media at Lahore airport he said a strong and prosperous Pakistan is in the favour of the region.
He said he signed a number of agreements with Pakistan including visa liberation‚ cultural promotion and all these will help foster a much cordial relationship with Pakistan.
He said he looks forward to his meetings with the Punjab Governor and Chief Minister which will help in expanding the cultural cooperation between the two neighbors.
The Indian FM will also visit Minar-e- Pakistan and shrine of great Sufi saint Hazrat Data Ganj Bauksh and Gurdwara Dera– a holy place of Sikh religion.
During his visit to Lahore, SM Krishna will meet Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif and his brother Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
