Mozambique to open embassy in Pakistan soon: Khalid Tawab

Mozambique is expected to open its embassy in Pakistan soon, said Consul General of Mozambique, Khalid Tawab. He said the opening of Mozambique Embassy in Islamabad would ease obtaining Mozambique visa for business travel as well as visiting the country. He further said a high powered Pakistan delegation will visit Mozambique to see existing opportunities to increasing two-way trade and investment. The delegation will have representatives of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and other trade bodies. He said there were large numbers of areas where Pakistan can work very closely for mutual benefit.
He also said that Mozambique imports almost every thing to meet its requirement and Pakistan can create its goods demand with little efforts. Khalid Tawab pointed out that Mozambique industrial sector is underdeveloped and to meet the local requirement it imports almost all kings of goods from world over. Pakistan has goods changes to export a large number of items to meet their requirements. Giving example, he said Mozambique was importing rice in huge quantity and Pakistan has sufficient rice to export. Same is the condition in other sectors, he added.
He said Mozambique is a big market and Pakistan business community must tape existing opportunities otherwise some other country may avail and it may become difficult for Pakistan to penetrate in the market. He said that Honourary consulate of Mozambique is working in Pakistan since 1988 and added that he made his best efforts to encourage Pakistani business community to explore Mozambique for trade. He pointed out that a trade delegation comprises of SM Munir, Mian Mohammad Rafi, Anwar Ahmed Tata and other leading businessmen have already visited Mozambique.
Khalid Tawab said that Mozambique offers lucrative investment opportunist and trade. Investors can get free of cost land and tax incentives. He said that Mozambique importing rice and textile products from Pakistan. The country has huge market of plastic products which can be exported from Pakistan.
