The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a petition filed for disqualification of opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
A petitioner Shahid Orakzai submitted a petition in Supreme Court after the Islamabad High Court rejected the appeal, seeking disqualification of Chaudhry Nisar.
A two-member bench of apex court comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk and Justice Tariq Pervaiz heard the petition. During the hearing the court disagreed with the remarks passed by petitioner about Ch Nisar and rejected the appeal. The court remarked that dual nationality of Ch Nisar’s family does not mean that he is not faithful with the country, nor it disqualifies him.

  1. Another proof these judges are friendlier to the PML(N) and its leadership. They are purposefully targetting specifically to PPP and its leadership while giving cover up to the malpractices of Sharifs.

  2. Does Ch. Nisar has dual nationality? I thought it was his family with dual nationality but not him. Was I wrong?
