ISLAMABAD – Quashing all rumours about proposed amendments to the blasphemy law, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday said that the federal government has no intention to amend the blasphemy law, which he claimed was introduced by former PM and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s government. “Any amendment to this law would be against our party policy,” the PM said while talking to a group of parliamentarians at his Parliament House Chambers.
