Bollywood veteran actor Rajesh Khanna died recently. The news has left many of his fans grieved.
In Pakistan almost all the leading news channels of Pakistan aired the news of Rajesh Khanna’s death and showed his biography. For several hours, the news of Rajesh Khanna’s death was aired in headlines and in detailed news.
I remember when Dr Israr Ahmed died in 2010, no channel in Pakistan gave coverage to the news of his death. If an Islamic scholar had died, no channel would have covered his death like Rajesh Khanna’s death news.
It would have been better if these channels maintained the balance in all the news.
The one question I want to ask is when any Pakistani artist dies, do the Indian channels also air the news for several hours?
The last para of the article:
"The one question I want to ask is when any Pakistani artist dies, do the Indian channels also air the news for several hours?"

Perhaps they are not as popular because it is unIslamic to be in the entertainment industry. Remember that Aurangzeb hated music.
Why do you Pakistanis always equate everything with Islam? How sad? Of course the Indian news channel air nonstop news about Pakistani 'entertainers', although you people following Islam are not allowed to watch movies & listen to music. What a contradiction? You watch Indian movies, listen to music which is classified as 'Haram' in your quran & yet complain whether Indian channes air any news whenever any Paki entertainer dies! When Nusrat Fateh passed Indian news channels aired news of his death nonstop – same with the recent death of the guzzal singer mehdi hasan. As for any competent actors of Pakistan, sorry to say there are none at all.
