Linguistics scholars and literature students celebrated the 8th death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet, Professor Koser on Thursday. Prof Koser , who died in 2004, was the adopted son of Hafeez Jullundhri. He was popular for his romantic poetry and his patriotism. A major part of his poetry was dedicated to Pakistan’s national heroes. His famous books include “Sirr-e-dilbran”, “Nazria-e-Pakistan’, Chirag-e-Shab”, Dilbstan. He wrote a number of Urdu dramas for Radio Pakistan.
Professor Koser also rendered his services in the Urdu department of Civil Lines College Lahore and was on board of governors for Punjab Council of Arts and member of National Curriculum Committee for the Urdu subject.
