The chief security officer of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Major (r) Maaz, was injured in a cracker attack in the Johar Town area on Thursday, City 42 reported. The CSO was on his way to his house when a security guard told him that he had dropped something. “I bent to pick it up and the bomb blasted,” Maaz said. He was rushed to the Sheikh Zayed Hospital where he was visited by the DCO and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. The bomb scout team checked the area for more bombs. “The bomb wasn’t a common cracker so this has to be a terrorist attack,” an officer said. The CSO was reportedly out of danger.
