The Punjab Transport Department has revised its fares after the recent reduction in fuel prices.
It has revised the fares for stage carriages, (non-AC) and public service vehicles (PSVs) on inter-city routes.
According to a spokesman of the department, the maximum fares that can now be charged are Rs 1 per passenger per kilometre for vehicles that run on petrol whereas the fare is 87 paisas for vehicles on CNG.
