Rally today against genocide of Myanmar Muslims

Jamaat-e Islami (JI) Karachi Chapter, on the directives of JI chief Syed Munawwar Hassan, will hold a rally today to show solidarity with the persecuted Muslims of Myanmar. The rally is expected to start from Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum and end at Al-Amna Plaza. JI Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mahenti is expected to address the rally while other leaders including Maulana Zafar Ahmed Azad, Maulana Tahir Arakani, Maulana Mamoon Rasheed, Maulana Noor Hussain Arakani and others are also expected to address the rally. Meanwhile, JI Karachi General Secretary Naseem Siddiqui said that so far more than 5,000 Muslims were killed and more than 90,000 were rendered homeless in Myanmar. Siddiqui asked the people of Karachi to participate in the rally in large numbers so that a message regarding immediate preventive measures for the safety of the Muslims of Myanmar could be conveyed to the Government of Myanmar, the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
