Man sets himself on fire outside press club

A man attempted self-immolation outside Karachi Press Club (KPC).
According to the details, poverty and joblessness hit Khalid Mahboob, resident of Manzoor Colony area of the city burnt himself as he was unable to return money to another man from whom he took that. Mahboob was shifted to the burns ward of civil hospital where doctors said that more than 50% of his body was burnt.
Governor directs to extend assistance to the burned man: Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has taken notice of the incident in which one Khalid Mahboob attempted self-immolation outside Karachi Press Club (KPC). This was pointed out in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor on Wednesday.
It said that the Governor asked the Secretary Health that Khalid Mahboob be provided treatment at government expenses.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan also directed his Principal Secretary to extend every possible assistance to Khalid Mahboob for the resolution of his problems.
