The city of fear

A city once known as ‘the city of lights’ is now “the city of target killings”. When a person in Karachi steps out, there is no guarantee that he’ll come back alive or come back in a sack after being butchered to pieces. The law and order situation of the city is suffering and has been sacrificed at the altar of partisan interests. Political parties clash with each other and kill each others’ party workers. This never-ending turf war and tussle for control of the city has created a tense environment and has led to the city bleeding and burning profusely. Nobody thinks about the rest of the people of the city, of the victims’ bereaved families. Nobody knows when this war will stop. Seems this violence and injustice will go on till someone can have the courage and political will to deal with this situation.
