MOU for solid waste management project for Karachi to be signed at Islamabad

There are cordial and brethren relations between Pakistan and Turkey, and both countries have proved to be helping each other at the crucial times, and will help and cooperate for combined causes.
This was observed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, while presiding over a high level meeting with Turkey’s Albayrak Company Country Coordinator. Bunyamin Karaca regarding solid waste management services or projects, held at Chief Minister House.
He said that the relations between Pakistan and Turkey are very close and there are old brotherly relations, while by economic cooperation, the relations will further be enhanced. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that there are lot of opportunities and we can participate in such economic activities. He said that the Prime Minister of Turkey had visited the flood affected areas of Thatta district and extended assistance and offered construction of houses. Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Karachi is main City and economic hub of Pakistan, while it is one of the largest cities of the world. He further added that the solution of solid waste management is need of Karachi and the firm of Turkey will be welcomed for investing in solid waste management services and other projects.
Bunyamin Karaca thanked the Sindh chief minister for warm welcome and said the assistance made by Prime Minister of Turkey is nothing as the Muslims of Sub-Continent had assisted the people in their struggle and war for freedom and such assistance and cooperation will never be forgotten by people of Turkey.
He added that the people of Turkey always love the people of Pakistan as they are our brother, and the cooperation extended by people of Pakistan has fully been highlighted in our textbooks. He said that as per commitment of Turkish Prime Minister, 10,000 luxurious houses have been built and will be handed over to government of Sindh for affected people.
He assured that their company is ready to work for solid waste management project in Karachi. He further said that their company is also working in tractor manufacturing, construction and transport sectors.
He further informed that the Turkish Prime Minister is visiting Pakistan on a 2-day visit on Sunday and Monday and it was decided that MoU signing ceremony will be held on Monday the 21st May 2012 at Islamabad at Islamabad.
Bunyamin Karaca also extended invitation to Sindh chief minister to visit Istanbul along with technical staff. He also invited him to attend MoU signing ceremony to be held at Islamabad on Monday. Board of Investment Chairman Saleem H Mandivwala introduced the Turkish company and said that a general MoU will be signed at Islamabad on Monday which will also bring technology in Pakistan and we will train our youth. He further said that Turkish company is also interested in transport services.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman Sindh Board of Investment Zubair Motiwala, Secretary SOI Ms. Naheed S. Durrani, Administrator Karachi Metropolitian Corporation Muhamad Hussain Syed. Nadeem Akhtar Project Manager BOI Karachi and Principal Secretary to CM Agha Jan Akhtar.
