The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday directed the Sindh government to hold local body elections within a period of 90 days.
According to a private TV channel, a two-judge bench, comprising Justice Nadeem Ahmed and Justice Faisal Arab, of the court directed the provincial government in its ruling on a petition filed by Sukkur’s former Nazim, Nasir Hussain, two years ago.
The bench ruled that the provincial government was constitutionally bound to hold the local body elections.
