Man escapes militants’ captivity

PESHAWAR – Hidayat Ullah Wazir, who was abducted by unknown people some two and a half month back, succeeded to escape from their captivity on Friday. Reportedly, Hidayat Ullah Wazir, a resident of Domail North Waziristan, was the brother of retired senior police officer Atta Ullah Khan Wazir and maternal uncle of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Adnan Wazir. He contacted his relatives through telephone and told them that he was free and on his way to home. His family had also confirmed the developments and said that Wazir would likely to join them later at Friday evening. Though the family had claimed Wazir’s escape but there were reports regarding his release in return of huge amount paid as ransom as he was abducted by Taliban militants who had demanded heavy amount as ransom.
