A serious conspiracy is going on against the people of Punjab, with President Asif Ali Zardari maneuvering to attain his political motives, Punjab Chief Minister Shabaz Sharif told a huge gathering of PML-N workers and Chamber of Commerce in Gujranwala on Tuesday.
He said Punjab had played its role of being an elder brother and had sacrificed its interests in every aspect, “still Punjab is facing a conspiracy which is the brainchild of President Zardari and his cronies”. He said former president Musharraf pursued foreign agenda to create inter- and intra-provincial rifts, which included the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti and other heinous acts. “But we tried to create harmony and sacrificed our interests in the NFC Award by giving up Rs 11 crore, but this government is still conspiring against Punjab to attain its political motives”.
Shahbaz said Punjab was facing extensive load shedding and 60 percent of the industry was shut down and thousands of the workers were made unemployed.
