Islamabad – Former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf is planning to return to Pakistan this year, Online learnt from sources on Sunday.
Sources said after consultations with Chaudhry Shahbaz, Member of the National Assembly Sehezada Mohuddin, former MNA Pervez Ali Shah, Dr Sher Afgan Niazi, Maj Gen (r) Rashid Qureshi, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, and Chaudhry Fawad, Pervez Musharraf has decided to return to Pakistan.
According to close aides of the former president, Chaudhry Shahbaz and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif have been tasked with activating various APML wings including those of lawyers, students and women.
APML Secretary Genral Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif told Online that in a recent meeting with APML Central Coordination Committee in Dubai, Musharraf hinted at returning to Pakistan this year. “Therefore, all APML leaders are organizing the party’s structure across the country,” he said. He said APML workers’ conventions would be held in various cities on Musharraf’s return.
Saif said the former president over very much concerned over deteriorating law and order in Pakistan, rising prices and unemployment. He said that Musharraf would soon unveil a comprehensive plan to promptly and effectively overcome these problems. “Musharraf is expected to land at either Karachi Airport or Islamabad Airport he will be given a rousing welcome”, Said added.
