Two newly appointed judges sworn in

Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Justice Mushir Alam administered oath to two newly appointed additional judges – Justice Nadeem Akhtar and Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui – on Tuesday.
The oath was administered at a ceremony, organised at the committee room of the court building. It was attended by high court judges and senior lawyers.
Later, during a brief chat with the media after the ceremony, the SHC chief justice said the appointment of judges on vacant posts is being carried out purely on merit.
Referring to the shortage of judges at SHC, the chief justice hoped that it will be overcome following the completion of appointment process of new judges, which is being carried out with the consultation of all stakeholder including lawyers bodies of interior Sindh.
