The law and order situation in the provincial capital and other parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has worsened over the last few weeks and the police force is struggling to cope with the issue.
Apart from incidents of terrorism, people are being looted, kidnapped and killed in the crowded localities of Peshawar and its outskirts. The police force, however, is mostly concentrating on security of the government installations, offices and police stations leaving the public at the mercy of the criminals.
Isn’t it the job of police to provide all the citizens with the security of their lives? What is the reason for these double standards?
