The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought written reply from the General Headquarters (GHQ) regarding disappearance of Brig Ali Khan from hospital.
The Rawalpindi bench of the LHC comprising Justice Mazhar Iqbal Sandhu Friday resumed hearing of the case regarding disappearance of Brig Ali Khan from hospital.
It should be mentioned that Brig Ali Khan had been arrested on his alleged contacts with a banned religious outfit.
Colonel Waqar and Colonel Tahir submitted the initial reply on behalf of GHQ in which the stance has been taken that Brig Ali is under the detention of 111 Brigade where his court martial proceedings were underway.
Brig Ali’s counsel Colonel (Retd) Inamur Raheem in his argument took the stance that initiation of court martial proceedings without information was against the rules.
The court sought a written reply from GHQ and adjourned the hearing till March 19.

  1. Did i not say that army should not wash it,s dirty linen in public.? This is why we have martial law courts where no comitees are not appointed . When one joins the army one is aware of these rules. I prey to god he is innocent. How would soldiers react if a senior commander deserted his post? Any way this soldiers career is finished. Even pretenders to the COAS post have been tried by court martial courts.Need example.? Just ask the Gen aspiring to replace Musharraf when Nawaz was in power.
