Fire erupts at a shoe factory in Badami Bagh

LAHORE – Fire erupted in a plastic shoe making factory in the Badami Bagh police precincts on Saturday. The factory owned by Muhammad Butta caught fire because of short circuiting. Fire instantly engulfed the entire factory as raw plastic beans served as fuel. Butta claimed that machinery and raw material worth Rs 0.5 million were burnt.
ACCIDENT: A man died while another was injured when their rickshaw collided with a donkey cart in Batapur police precincts on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Nazir Ahmad (40), a resident of the Batapur, while the injured was a rickshaw driver, Munir. Nazir was a father of seven kids and was an employee of Pakistan Railways, the police revealed.
FOUND DEAD: An unidentified man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the early hours of Saturday in Kot Lakhpat police precincts. The passerby spotted a decomposed body lying on the roadside of the industrial area and informed the police. Police investigators believe that the man was a drug addict and died of drug abuse. The body has been shifted to the morgue for autopsy. Separately, an unidentified elderly man was found dead in the same area. Police suspects that the man died of hypothermia, as he was found naked. Police made announcements in the area to identify the body but nobody showed up to claim the body, which was then shifted to the morgue.
