A 30 year old man was stabbed to death by his father-in-law and brother-in-law in Shadbagh area who was later identified as Zaheer Ahmad of Bhambay Jhuggian. Police said that Zaheer’s wife went to her parent’s house after a hot exchange of words with her husband over some domestic issues. Later, the victim’s father-in-law Ghulam Abbas and brother-in-law Shaukat reached his residence and stabbed and wounded him. Zaheer was rushed to a local hospital where he eventually died.
A mother of six children was shot dead by some unidentified persons in her house in Kahna area. Police said that Shabana, wife of Mohammad Asghar of Suai Suleman, was asleep when some unidentified persons entered into her house and shot her to death. Police shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy.
WOMEN DISPOSES OF ILLEGITIMATE GIRL: Police found a newly born baby girl from a heap of garbage in Hunjarwal area on Tuesday. Police suspected that an unidentified woman had thrown her illegitimate girl to conceal her sin. The baby was shifted to Children’s Hospital.
COPS ARRESTED: Race Course police arrested two constables on the charges of raping a woman who had come to Bibi Pak Daman shrine for offering fateha. The accused constables identified as Wajid and Zohaib caught Zeenat-ul-Nisa, who had come from Gujrat two days back, and raped her.
KIDNAPPERS CAUGHT: Unidentified persons kidnapped a secretary of a madrasa and a student in Shahdara Town. The abductees were identified as Mohammad Younas, 55, and Mohammad Umar, 14. Police has duly registered a case against them.
FIRE IN IQBAL TOWN: Household items worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in a house in Karim Block Iqbal Town. The cause of the fire was said to be a short circuit. Meanwhile, cardboards worth thousands of rupees were burnt, when fire broke out in a cardboard warehouse. Firefighters rushed to the sites and put the fire out after hectic efforts.
PRISONER DIES: Mohammad Riaz of Sheikhupura, 55, prisoner of Kot Lakhpat jail died in a local hospital on Tuesday. Police said that Riaz was arrested by Anti Narcotics Force in 2011, and had recovered 35 kg charas from his possession. Riaz was in jail for the last 11 years where his condition went critical almost four days back. He was admitted to Jinnah Hospital where he died today.
GANG BUSTED: Nawab Town and Chung police arrested eight robbers and recovered two bikes, valuables and illicit weapons from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Aslam, Akhtar Rasool, Ghulam Hussain, Sarwar, Alyas, Afzal, Sadiq and Sikandar. Meanwhile Sundar police arrested a woman who with the abetment of her paramour had murdered her husband. The accused persons were identified as Shamaila Bibi and her paramour Shoaib.
