In our democratic setup, the rulers have long been ignoring the voice of its youth demanding an end to the discriminatory age rule which prevents the higher degree holders from joining the civil services through the CSS examination. That is ironic keeping in view the fact that fake degree holders are occupying the seats respectably in the national assembly while highly educated students are restricted from becoming a part of the country’s bureaucratic apparatus. While the age limitfor joining other governmental services like IB, FIA and ISI was extended up to 35 years last year, the upper age limit for the CSS exam has been stubbornly maintained at 28 years and any proposal from the FPSC or the Establishment Division to quell this blatant age discrimination is dismissed in cold blood in the power corridors.
One wonders what have our policy makers been up to? Enhancing the upper age limit to 35 years in the country’s leading competitive exam will only enhance competition. I request the honourable PM Mr Yousaf Raza Gilani to raise the age limit in the CSS exam up to 35 years for the betterment of the civil service, many potential candidates and Pakistan.

yes Ali Abbass is right and PM should consider it and extend the age limit
yes! obviously Mr Ali Abbas PM give special consideration in this burning issue most of the young people of this country first ignore this exam but when they commit their self to appear in CSS their age about 25 or above and it takes a lot of time and energy for the preparation of this tough exam and after this time is run ont and candidate do nothing.

Yes! Indeed Ali has sought to take PM attention at a very important issue.But it seems as our politicians are keeping an eye on how to grab power in coming election,and not much serious towards such "petty" issues of we "the people"..If Honorable PM ,I would like to add name of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for now, to relax age for css candidates is not an uphill task. its obvious from examples of others departments including FPSC itself,they have relaxed upper age limits upto 5 years for Grade 17 Jobs.Then there is no logical reason behind CSS age limit criteria that restricts it to 28 years.

This is really cruel of the democratic government to with hold the the question of utmost importance to the youth of pakistan especially when the rural areas of bore the brunt of flood and heavy rains.

let us come out of our houses to raise our voice in favore of upper age limit of CSS. Believe me , if we make collective effort for this cause, we will succeed.
