Blind murder traced; three proclaimed offenders held

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Police has arrested an alleged killer, three proclaimed offenders and three other dacoits, besides recovering murder tool, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
According to details, the CIA police arrested Abdul Haq alias Lahori, son of Muhammad Ameen, who killed a trader, Arshad, through firing during a dacoity attempt.
On November 25, 2009, Asif and Arshad were going to their home after closing their shop at Fiazabad. When they reached near the Sohan Union Council, unidentified motorcyclists tried to loot them at gun point and fired on resistance.
Muhammad Arshad was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) where he succumbed to his injuries. The police started investigation into the case following the First Information Report (FIR) registered on the complaint of Muhammad Ashraf, father of the deceased. Later, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Muhammad Yousaf Malik shifted the case to the CIA police staff and directed for immediate and fair investigation into the case.
The CIA team, headed by its in-charge Bashir Ahmed Noon, Inspector Mubarak Ali, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ali and others, succeeded to arrest one of the main accused Abdul Haq alias Lahori, a resident of Shahdra, Lahore, besides recovering a mobile phone of the deceased and 30 bore pistol that had been used in the murder. The efforts were also underway to nab his accomplices as well.
Meanwhile, the CIA police teams arrested three proclaimed offenders identified as Waseem Abbass, Muhammad Sohail, residents of Swabi and Rizwan, a resident of Rawalpindi. They have been involved in dacoities in the Industrial area, Shalimar and Sihala Police Stations precincts. Furthermore, three other thieves were arrested and stolen items were also recovered from their possession. They were identified as Faqeer Hussain, Farzan and Sajid Hussain.
