Lawlessness in Sindh

Three renowned doctors, Dr Shah, Dr Wagan and Dr Sangi, who are allegedly kidnapped by the dacoits from Larkano division, have not been found despite the passage of one month since their abduction. The dejected and dismayed members of their families have knocked at every door for their retrieval but all in vain. Hardly a day passes when people are not kidnapped for ransom and killed in the chronic tribal clashes in those districts.

Unfortunately, nothing has been done to control the lawlessness. This sad state of affairs wherein the kidnapping of professionals, such as doctors and engineers and also businessmen, has become the order of the day in the upper Sindh districts, and has sent a waves of frustration among the masses.

In another sad incident, a girl named Fazila Sarki was kidnapped from Jacobabad district some four years ago is still missing.

I appeal to the president of Pakistan to direct the provincial home minister to take necessary steps to retrieve the kidnapped three doctors and the girl, award an exemplary punishment to the perpetrators and control law and order in the upper and lower Sindh districts which is, indeed, a simple task for the incumbent home minister if he is willing to do so.
