Protesters staging a sit-in outside the Sindh Governor’s House dispersed peacefully early Monday morning after police registered a FIR of the murder of a leader of the Pasban-i-Jafria.
Scores of people had besieged the governor house on Sunday evening and staged a sit-in in protest against the killing of Askari Raza. The protesters were demanding the registration of a murder case against a police official and a leader of the Ahl-i-Sunnat Wal Jamaat.
A heavy contingent of police and senior police officers were present to tackle any untoward incident.
The case was then registered against ASWJ leader Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad also dismissed CID SSP Chaudhry Aslam and ordered a judicial inquiry against him.
The inquiry report would be completed within three days and Aslam could be arrested if found involved.
A leader of the Pasban-i-Jafria held Aslam and Farooqui responsible for the killing of Raza and the protesters demanded of the government to book them in the murder case.

  1. How the hell this man known as Dr Ishraul Ebad can dismiss an official. He is a titular head of the province and represents the federation. Does he really? He represents Nine Zero and his loyalties lie with Altaf Hussain. I am not in favour of the police official whom The Guardian of London recently described him as Karachi's 'Dirty Harry' but I am definitely against this man who has been imposed on SIndh by blackmailing tactics and connivance of Gen Musharraf. It is the Chief Minister's prerogative to dismiss any official of the SIndh government.
