Seven people were injured when supporters of PML-N and PML-Q clashed in Bahawalpur during PP-275 by-polls.
The clash took place outside Government Elementary School Chak No 108 when the supporters exchanged harsh words. Both used chairs and batons to hit each other.
Police and Rangers tried to settle the issue but nobody cared for them. Seven people got injured including police personnel in the quarrel.
PML-Q leader Tariq Bashir Cheema claimed that rivals attacked them in the presence of law enforcement agencies.
PML-N candidate Khalid Mehmood Jajja blamed that Tariq Bashir Cheema was carrying arms and tried to forcibly enter the polling station. The injured were shifted to a hospital while situation is still very tense in the area.
