After putting on a successful show of street power in the provincial capital of Punjab on Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that he would consider an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) if its president Nawaz Sharif made his assets public.
He told reporters at Allama Iqbal International Airport before leaving for China on a three-day visit that he could talk to Nawaz Sharif for an alliance if he declared his assets correctly and honestly. He said the country had transformed and a mass revolution was near. The PTI leader said the people would now forget past revolutions because a new one was knocking on the country’s door. He also predicted that general elections could be held any time after March. He invited honest politicians to join the PTI to “shatter the demons of fear” and come forward for Pakistan’s sovereignty. He said the parties playing “musical chairs” for power had now vanished as they had been exposed before the people.
Imran said a blow had been dealt to the status quo slapped on the country for ages, evident from the amount of people who showed up for the PTI rally on Sunday. Imran, who was quite confident after flexing his political muscles in Lahore, told reporters that his party had set up a cell to collect details of politicians’ assets and as soon as it had enough material, it would approach the Supreme Court and the Election Commission of Pakistan for action.

  1. Thats all ! Anpther pragmatic politician. He knows that he has no chance except to make seat adjustment with nawaz sharif.Dissapointing for imran supporters isn’t it ?

  2. An alliance between PML(N) & TIP on a common agenda to fight corruption and rule of law would be welcome

    • U r proposing alliance with a Party who has no match in corruption. In this country noone is more corrupt than Sharifs

  3. @Tass What do u say Mr. Tass. Alliance against corruption and that also with Nawaz??? Did u think before puting up this comments? Sharifs are the most corrupt and even much more corrupt than Zardari and u r proposing alliance with Sharifs to fight corruption!!! La Hol Wala Quwata.

  4. In a historic public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has asked all the politicians of the country to declare their assets. This is a very appreciable demand from PTI Chief. It will also be good that when politicians declare their assets than a reputable intuition should check their assets as they are telling truth or still hiding their assets.
But I also want to know the assets of Imran Khan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders. It will be appreciated if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf declares the assets of their leaders and also National Tax Number (NTN) on a platform where everyone can easily access.

  5. Mr. Imran Khan should not fall in the trap of Sharifs. Don't send any feelers to known and confirmed most corrupt brothers. This will prove minus in next elections and perhaps you won't get any sympathy from those who want to vote for you .

  6. PTI has flexed its muscles in the province of Punjab.Right PML(N)leaders had their show of street power. However,PTI has a motivational drive in the supporters where as PML(N) supporters are slogan raising people who just come to attend the JALSA's of the political parties.Nawaz Sharif should have come himself in the meeting to show the difference.PTI should not relax at all and continue the developing mind set of a common voter in the urban and rural areas of the country. This erruption of a river of burning Lava from the Volcano PTI should not stop until the elections take place after tis term is finished.PPP and PMN(N) should do something to revive their parties popularity in the country. They have the tools, only they start using them to give a tough time to PTI, otherwise it will be too late.
