Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that distribution of financial aid for the kin of the dengue victims would commence from today(Sunday).
Addressing an emergency meeting regarding dengue fever in Lahore, he announced that Rs.500,000 would be given to the kin of each of the victims who succumbed from dengue fever in a very transparent procedure evolved for the purpose.
He also informed that intensive care units (ICU) for dengue victims would soon start functioning in Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi.
He also stressed that the doctors should ensure a steady visits of consultants at their respective hospitals.
During the meeting, the CM was told that 1,265 doctors and nurses have been specially trained to deal with the deadly virus.
He was also informed that special teams had been formed for inspection, fumigation of restaurants, hotels, marriage halls, and bakeries, and these teams have already inspected 863 sites in the city.
Shahbaz also met various doctors and pharmacists manning the health helpline for the deadly disease, and lauded their selfless zeal and services.
