Khaldunia High School on Saturday held an Open House in Islamabad where the faculty members and students shared their views and ideology on education. “Education at its best teaches people the skills and gives them the knowledge to prepare themselves not only for pursuing their own goals but also to contribute to the society a meaningful manner,” said Mrs Paracha, the principal of school. Elaborating the school’s elementary programme, Paracha said the school extended the parameters of learning in many ways.
A number of students also expressed their opinion of the school’s unique methods of teachings. All of them agreed that the school groomed the pupils how to learn, question and think critically, adding that they were being articulated to be creative in resolving problem. “I was nothing before joining this school,” said Ammer Khan, a student of Khaldunia who obtained 10 As in O level. An amalgam of students’ voices, pictures of events, teachers and noteworthy people, including Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy and Kishwar Naheed, expressed their views and lauded the school system for providing best students. The event was rounded off by a scintillating but brief performance by Taimur Khan, a teacher and noted sarangi player.
