It is an unfortunate situation where the families of the police personnel are not accorded the same level of facilities as are given to the families of armed forces.
The medical benefits, housing and even reserved seats for the children in universities are just a few. These are either not available to the common police staff or are given to them on a limited scale.
It is perplexing to see how the institution that is responsible for the safety and protection of the citizens, has been and still is being neglected by the incumbent administrations.
