It has been observed that the police department does not invest time and finances into the training of staff. The police personnel lack professional skills which is evident while they perform their duties. It is important that the institution should hold continuous and rigorous training programs to polish their professional skills.
This will not only change their attitude towards their work, but will also assist them in changing their behaviour towards the citizens. As of now, people tend to avoid contacting police for any issue, citing their behaviour as the main cause. If this perception changes and the trust of the people is restored, the law and order situation in the country will also improve.
