Unidentified gunmen killed a 60-year-old man in the Sanda Police precincts on Monday over reasons yet to be identified by police. The victim was identified as Muhammad Rafique, a resident of Tufail Road, Gulshan-e-Ravi. The police said Rafique was sleeping at his home late on Sunday night when the unidentified shooters targeted him from an open window, leaving him with several bullet wounds that killed him on the spot.
Rafique’s sons came into his room after the gunshots to find their father dead. They informed police who, after reaching the scene, removed the body to city morgue for autopsy and started investigating the matter. Police investigators believed that the incident was a targeted killing, but the victim’s sons claimed that they did not have any enmity with anyone.
