There are frequent breakdowns of electricity in Karachi, particularly in Nazimabad Town. As a result, people have to face a lot of inconvenience as the whole area is thrown into darkness and the power supply is not restored for hours. The students preparing for examinations are the worst sufferers as they cannot concentrate on studies, and the weak and old people suffer a lot too. It also gives impetus to anti-social elements that become more active when it is completely dark.
We have lodged many complaints with the concerned electricity authority, but in vain. We want, through the publication of this letter in your esteemed daily, to compel the higher authorities to initiate expeditious action.
